Welcome to SmartCast ("we," "us," or "our"), developed by Digispark. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our SmartCast mobile application (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

SmartCast is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

2.1. Usage Data (Automatically Collected) We may collect certain information automatically when you use the App, including:

• Device type and operating system version
• App usage statistics (e.g., features used, session duration)
• Crash reports and performance data
• Your device's general geographic region (country-level, based on device locale settings)

This data is collected in aggregate and anonymized form to help us improve the App's performance and user experience.

2.2. Podcast Data When you search for or subscribe to podcasts, the App communicates with the Apple iTunes Search API to retrieve podcast metadata (titles, descriptions, artwork, RSS feed URLs). This data is publicly available and is not considered personal information.

2.3. Subscription Information In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card number, or Apple ID credentials. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how Apple handles your payment data.

2.4. Advertising Data We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect and use certain data for ad personalization, including:

• Advertising identifier (IDFA), with your explicit consent
• Device information
• IP address
• Ad interaction data

2.5. AI Summary Data When you request an AI-generated summary of a podcast episode, the episode's publicly available description text is sent to Pollinations.ai's API for processing. No personal data, listening history, or user-identifiable information is transmitted in these requests.
